We can't wait for the Vendor/Volunteer Meeting coming up this weekend, because it means that opening day is so close! June 4th!
On the menu for our market friends: Creamy Irish Potato Soup with Bacon, Mexican Black Bean Sausage Chili, French Onion Soup, and Curried Coconut Soup with Lemongrass. Yesterday, I got local shiitake mushrooms from Ozark Forest Mushrooms for the curried coconut soup. I can't wait to try the recipe, which I got from Mark Bittman's cookbook, How to Cook Everything Vegetarian.
